Aff doesn’t specify its relation to blackness

      Xxx

-Ontologically specification toward the black body good

      Voters

Ground: we talk about political ontology so we need to know your relation of blackness. When the aff doesn’t specify they avoid clash in an attempt to win the perm debate which leads to a shallow empty debate

Even though they are debating Towson they need to be stuck with basic argumentation and requirements

Education: the paradigm of black scholars is necessary the aff has a flawed epistemology

      Xxx

Articulate your own position. White nationalism is bad and worthless he or she must articulate positions in relation to that

      Whiteness spec

Aff fails to specify relation to whiteness makes debate impossible

      Xxx

Capacity leads to infinite questions which generates lessons. Whiteness is an assembly of infinite possibilities it mutates and threatens the deconstruction the black body. Recovery of difference.

Ground: college students are taught to engage in whiteness. This kind of scholarship dominates space of debate tournaments

      Xxx

Debate in the clash that goes on in college community and debate is the ivory tower. Dominant hegemonies are replicated. College environments are painted with European colonialism and subjugation of black community.

      Limits

Hundreds of interpretations make it impossible to debate without marking whiteness we make it invisible

      Interpretation

Recognize natures of structural antagonism we employ the right thing for each white and place

      Xxx

Political ontology cultural framework in order to theorize gap between black and life. Profound implications for American studies tangled in multicultural paradigm

      Implications

      1. questions of blackness and whites are critical to debate we need to be clearly defined in terms of debate as black debaters we need to have a framework to understand

      2. Forcing specification promotes affs to consider black experiences as legit part of debate

      Ethics

Vote neg to affirm vision of debate that intellectually confronts the slave. Incapacity not agency = ethical stance

Won’t stop people from running things like heg but we should be able to be allowed to say that that shit is racist.

      Xxx

Ontological thought is all but impossible in white culture and political theory

The issues is how to represent the negro. Whiteness is a parasite.

      Block

      B-Spec

Definition not how its limited but how blackness as a political and ontological position is one that lacks affect. Self and reconciliation needs to be able to understand race in south Africa. Their evidence talks about race relations and tribal context problem with the way they conceptualize political ontology. Blackness is absent of affect--> all aff claims are inefficient.

Violation is in their Bishop evidence. Talks about how mythical poets and change the way white people relate but un underlined blackness and whiteness = cultural indicators. Re-codifying ability to be able to do stuff because they ignore ontological position.

Ontology comes first colors the issues of the war on terror places blacks low

      Xxx

Violence occurs to human body. Humanism has no theory of the slave because it can’t imagine an object. Blacks need ontological questioning

Truth of reconciliation can only be done through human rights = focus on humanism

Humanist discourse is bankrupt because they cant understand black ontology= internal link turn.

      Xxx

Middle passage destroyed black access to metaphysic. Impossibility of ontology being starting point for black body. Makes a distinction about how they can only talk about humanity but blacks cant claim our body means we don’t have kinship ties or sentient bonds.

      Voters

Ground: we don’t have it for our interrogation

      Education: scholarship = bankrupt

No discussion about whether they have to specify. They say they can talk about them indirectly that’s not good enough must be centered on blackness otherwise we are going to replicate anti-blackness.

      Xxx

They see blackness as an agent or people who have capacity means that the political matrix can control them and leave them as slaves.

There is no ground or resolution this is the ONLY space no other options. Always lose the education because we will have no ground to stand

Education: makes black community quit. Collapses debate because scholarships are based on minorities.

      Whiteness spec:

Implicit assumptions of aff so they need to specify or they cant challenge domination.

Their evidence tries to conceptualize the other but they don’t come to terms with their own body or the way they operate in the debate space.

      Violation

Whiteness provide for multiple perms which is bad. They recodify the meaning of what it means to be white which is a means of humanistic discourse

      Xxx

Whiteness tries to territorialize the meaning of what it means to be human

Interpretation: politics of culture they need to specify their relations

Double turn they try to focus of re-capacity but they don’t specify their relation

Whiteness is forever changing thus we must specify it. Other -wise there is no way to have a debate a-priori to fairness as well as ground. Debate tournaments operate in white spaces.

      Ethics

      Ethics

This debate is over when their evidence talks about how freedom is worthless in relating to the slave. Even if they win counter interp still need to be a disavow or movement to capacity for everyone who has capacity. Unethical commitment doesn’t go far enough to have a relationship to slave---> justify slavery. Social depth doesn’t conceptualize that black body there for we are always silenced . it’s not a possibility it’s when are the cops going to fuck me up.

      White people are guilty

      Xxx

Black and brown bodies are seen as a threat. America is bad

      2NR

B-Spec openly vulnerable to whims of the world. This is what makes us vulnerable. 1AC is a smoke screen that allows them to mask over the re-conception of whiteness/ blackness. Re-mythologize. Whiteness controls the ways in which discourse operates because of the norms that it has. Political ontology allows us to theorize black and white.

      Ontology

They say all beings have the capacity to be toward death but black body is death we are objects being in relation to death is a secondary question to those who are dead. Movements towards common experience of death traps us and precludes the possibility to make ethical responses to the world. They don’t deal with political ontology bankrupts their scholarship. They cannot challenge American exceptualism without understanding their relation to blackness.

      Impact turns:

Blackness is a starting point to confront incapacity skirts over ontology blackness is the manifestation of vulnerability. They can use us in their perm which links into the idea that whiteness allows for infinite perms.

      Ethics:

Double turn bishop ev talks about how they focus on capacity to reimagine transnational debate dooms our advocacy. Re-entrenches white supremacy in civil society. Not a question of if police will racially profile but when. When there are slaves it is unethical to be free.

    • B-SPEC

      A) Violation-The affirmative fails to specify their relationship to blackness or deploys the term uncritically using a vague defintion that faisl to accurately position the black body in the world making debate impossible.

      Definition-

      Blackness

      Wilderson 10

("Red, white, and Black: Cinema and the structures of U.S. Antagonisms" pp. 283-284)

      "If, as Ronald....exile from affect."

      Voters-

      1) Ground-We talk about black political ontology and if all they want to do is avoid clash and win a perm not only are we about to have a shallow and empty debate but the education we were hoping to squeeze out of this debate is lost.

      2) Education-Constructing the 1AC without a unlinishing paradigmatic analysis structurally locks black scholars in this activity as black beings of incompacy. Forcing us to ingest anti-black education that affirms black incompacy and a flawed epistomology as you call it productive topic debate.

      Brown

"All black people...profound impact on you."

      Implications-

Questions of blackness are central to our debate practice

It's k2 to get affs to recognize the black experience

Aff Loses for lack of fore though

    • WHITENESS SPEC

      A) The AFFIRMATIVE FAILS TO SPECIFY THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO WHITENESS OR DEPLOYS THE TERM UNCRITICALLY USING A VAGUE Definition  that fails to accurately position the black body in the world making debate impossible

      Definition:

      Whiteness:

      Wilderson 10

("Red, White, and Black: cinema and the Structures of U.S. Antagonisms")

      "The diversity of whiteness...like community"

      B) Voters:

Ground-Whiteness controls the Ground we exist on, they reproduce whiteness in argumentation and further white supremacy

      Reid Brinkley 2009

Shanara, "The Harsh realities of Acting Black: How African-American Policy Debaters Negotiate representation through racial performance and style"

"The Space in which...subject matter being taught."

Limits: With hundreds of interpretations to choose from it is impossible to know which whiteness they are talking about. Without marking whiteness one allows whiteness to be invisible while providing the proxy to bad whiteness or even a monolithic whiteness.

      2NC CARDS-

Our interpretations are best becasue they recognize the nature of sturctural antagonims at play within the U.S. and acknowledge the ontological difference between blacks and whites and deploys appropriate grammars of suffering for each. This is key in the promotion of a politics of culture

      Wilderson 10

("Red White and Black: Cinema and the structure of U.S. Antagonisms. pg. 57)

      "I am calling...grammar of suffering."

    • Tournament: | Round: | Opponent: | Judge:

    • ETHICS K

A neg vote represents the judge signing over their capacity to act as subjects in the world over to Towson EM. Whiel the actual completion of the act is structurally impossible, the contemplation of questions it presents are the only way to situate debate on true questions of ethics. Rejection of this call manifests the fundamental disavow of black suffering that affirms the capacity and ethically of the aff team while black suffering that makes that capacity intelligible in the first place.

This mediation is precursor to all legal interrorgations, for only here can the epistemological blindness of white academia be confronted with the fundamental ethic truth that turns assumptive logic of their scholarship on its head; for it is incapacity not Agency. That is the only ethic stance. In a world of Slaves it is unethical to be Free.

      Wilderson 2010

("Red, White, and Black: Cinema and the Structure of U.S. Antagonisms")

"Due to the presence....violence of genocide."

The libidinal economy of the U.S. and its construct of civil societies cartography achieves its unconscious exchange by way of thanatology i.e. a science of death in which blackness over determines the embodiment of impossibility, incoherence and incapacity In turn political economy i.e. politics and economics achieve symbolic capacity based on black death the crisis of modernity is how to represent the negro as human within the terms of the law. Whiteness in the libidinal economy monumentalizes subjective capacity its lush cartography in direct proportion to black incapacity.

      Wilderson 2010

("Red, White, and Black: Cinema and the Structure of U.S. Antagonism")

      "This libidinal economy....uncertain at best."
