Before we can discuss the topic of providing democracy assistance we must understand assumptions fueling the political system we abide by. Non-human agency has repeatedly been sacrificed throughout history and animal subjugation has been absolute. The resolution requires that we continue to silence the non-human from the political discussion where we substantially increase human pleasure without questioning the a-prior issues fueling oppression. The fate of humanity is interconnected with the fate of the non-human.

Waidiwel 2002: Cows and Sovereignty: Biopower and Animal Life Dinesh Joseph Wadiwel University of Western Sydney Description: http://www.borderlands.net.au/images/spacer.gifDescription: About borderlandsVolume 1 Number 2, 2002bell hooks eating the other desire and resistance.

Human heritage destroys the natural world, which inevitably increases human-human oppression. Nation states have historically contributed to the commodification of the natural world leading to colonization, war, genocide.

Kochi & Ordan 2008 (Tarik and Noam, Borderlands, Dec, “An argument for the global suicide of humanity” )

Our verbal communication and understanding between humans cannot transcend into the natural world. We must begin our methodology of deconstruction by tapping into the ecological self.

Dryzek 1996: John S. Dryzek’s Political and Ecological Communication in 1996 From Ecology and Democracy pp13-30 Great Britain: Frank Cass & CO. LTD.

Hierarchization of human-non-human relationships laid the groundwork for all forms of subjugation, creating an eternal cycle of domination of history that only enables oppression.

Thus Andre and I call for the break down of Human-non-human binary in association with the political discussion.

The Framework for this round is who can best advocate for the rupture of the gap between the human and the non-human. The fate of the human is indubitably connected with the fate of the animal and the ballot should signify the beginning of new life: not the continual destruction of it.

We must allow for the echoing of subjectivity within the debate space to disengage debaters from obtaining an ethic of exclusion and dominance. This, in essence, is the only true political act in the round.

Bennett, Prof Pol Theory @ Johns Hopkins University, 2007 (Jane, “Small Agency and Their Accumulative Effects ”, ASPCA, 8, Muse)

Only in a world where we incorporate the living of all species beyond the notion of human can we really achieve prosperity. Our discourse in the round provides a road map towards working within ecological constraints in order to revolutionize what it means to solve. We will cease to view arguments solely based on their outcome and begin to view arguments based on their capacity to allow us to live interconnected with other species.

Mathew Humphrey, 2002 School of Politics University of Nottingham Nottingham NG7 2RD

Reformation of the political sphere (ie the debate space) to involve all agents and “possible entities” into the decision making process is the primary route towards long-term solvency. This creates a mode of awareness that will spread out to the community in an attempt to understand how the ecological self is present.

    • UNTAINTED DEMOCRACY IS THE CONSTANT INAUGURATION OF SOMETHING NEW;

DEMOCRACY THAT IS DETERMINED BY ITS CONTENT AND NOT ITS FORM: THE FUGITIVE

OR INDEFINABLE EXPERIENCE OF THE PEOPLE THAT IS BEYOND CONTROL AND

SINGULAR DEFINITIONS. DEMOCRACY THEORIZED AS FORM COLLAPSES INTO ITSELF

AND BECOMES A HOME FOR ANTI-DEMOCRATIC POWER THAT KILLS HISTORY AND

MANIFESTS ITSELF AS A MYTHOLOGICAL LIE.

      Vázquez-Arroyo 2010:

But is democracy a political form? Critics.......democracy

content “condemns its own denial of equality and inclusionn.”27

      Thus the plan:

      The United States Federal Government

      should substantially increase its democratic

assistance to all the topic designated nations

by withdrawing its military and economic

      influences from said nations.

We reserve the right to clarify.

THE ISLAMIC WORLD IS GOING THROUGH A REVOLUTION IN WHICH THE FORM OF

DEMOCRACY IS UNRAVELED TO YIELD CONTENT OF THE ISLAMIC SUBJECT, ALLOWING

FOR AN UPWELLING OF EQUALITY AND EMPOWERMENT. THE PARAMETERS AND

MEANINGS OF ISLAM IS INTERPRETED AND RE-INTERPRETED WHEREIN DEMOCRACY,

RIGHTS AND AGENCY ARE BEING DEFINED WITHIN AN ISLAMIC CONTEXT. AT THE

CENTER OF THIS DISCOURSE ARE MUSLIMS PURSUING RIGHTS FOR WOMEN WHOSE

DISCOURSE IS ESSENTIAL TO THE FUNCTION OF THE DEBATE AND ITS PROSPECTIVE

      OUTCOMES.

Islamic feminism ..... fundamentalist notions of society on

ENGAGEMENT WITH THE MIDDLE EAST PRODUCES A MISUNDERSTANDING ABOUT THE CONCEPTUAL FIELDS OF POLITICS AND ANALYSIS

THE UNITED STATES THAT RENDERS THE ISLAMIC FEMININE SUBJECT POLITICALLY IMMOBILE, AND FORECLOSES THEIR ABILITY TO REDEFINE DEMOCRACY AND POLITICS AS CONTENT AND NOT FORM. THIS FORECLOSURE RESULTS IN THE ALLOWANCE OF VIOLENCE

WHERE EXTINCTION BECOMES THE ONLY OUTCOME.

Mahmood 05 (Saba, Professor of Anthropology at UC-Berkeley, The Politics of Piety:

The Islamic Revival and the Feminist Subject, p. 195-8, Sydnor)

As I suggested above, for a scholar of Islam, none .....behind this practice and the suffering it engenders.

U.S. DEMOCRACY ASSISTANCE IS MEANT TO PRODUCE A WESTERN LIBERAL CONCEPT

OF DEMOCRACY WHICH IS ACTUALLY MEANT TO KILL ISLAMIC DEMOCRATIC

POTENTIAL, MAKING ISLAMIC FEMINIST DISCOURSE AN A PRIORI STEP TO SOLVENCY.

THE U.S. MUST WITHDRAW: ITS FALSE ATTEMPTS TO SAVE THE MIDDLE EAST IS THE VERY FOUNDATION THAT DESTROYS THE REGION AND ENDANGERS HUMANITY BY PLACING IT ON A PATHWAY TO AN APOCALYPTIC WASTELAND, OR WORSE TO WORLD ABSENT OF DIFFERENCE WHERE WE ARE ALL CLONES MADE IN THE MASTERS IMAGE, DEVOID OF THE ESSENCE THAT DEFINES HUMANITY: THE RESULT IS EXTINCTION.

INSTEAD THE MIDDLE EAST MUST BE ALLOWED TO DEVELOP ON ITS OWN WITHIN ITS OWN FRAME OF UNDERSTANDING. IT IS THE ONLY WAY TO SOLVE.

Our solvency mechanism is rooted in the liberating of the oppressed from chains

and the shackles that western influence causes. The voice of Islamic feminism is

interconnected with the people oppressed in the status quo. The aff is the prerequisite
